Privacy policy

The short version
This website collects very little. Nothing measures your visit unless you allow it, there is no advertising and no tracking of any kind, and no cookie is set until you choose one. The only personal information Eden Technologies receives from you directly is what you type into the contact form.
What we collect
When you submit the contact form we receive the fields you complete: the topic you select, your first and last name, your email address, your company if you give one, and your message.
The form also contains a hidden field that real visitors never see. It exists to catch automated submissions, and anything entered into it is discarded.
Analytics, and your choice about it
We would like to know which pages people find useful. Nothing that measures your visit loads until you say yes: if analytics is switched on for this site you will be asked on your first visit, and until you answer, no analytics script is fetched and no analytics cookie exists. Choosing "No thanks" means nothing loads at all — not a reduced version, not an anonymous ping.
If you allow it, Google Analytics sets cookies named _ga and _ga_ followed by a property identifier, which distinguish one browser from another so a returning visit is not counted twice. They are not used for advertising, and we do not combine them with anything you send us through the contact form.
You can change your mind at any time by clearing this site’s data in your browser, which removes the stored choice and the analytics cookies with it, and you will be asked again on your next visit.
What we never do
- No advertising, remarketing or social media tracking pixels.
- No profiling, and no automated decision-making.
- No selling or sharing of personal information.
- No cookies at all before you have chosen — including none that remember the choice itself, which is kept in your browser’s local storage instead.
Storage on your device
The site stores a single value in your browser’s session storage, named eden:visited. It records that you have already seen the opening animation, so that later pages play a shorter version of it. It holds no personal information, is readable only by this site, and is erased when you close the tab.
If you answer the analytics question, your answer is stored in your browser’s local storage under eden:consent. It records the choice and nothing else, it stays on your device, and it remains until you clear this site’s data — which is also how you change your mind.
Where the information goes
The site is built and delivered with the services below. Each may process technical information such as your IP address in the ordinary course of serving a page to you.
- Vercel — hosting and delivery.
- Sanity — the content management system holding the site’s text and images.
- Cloudinary — video delivery.
- Google Analytics — measurement, and only if you have allowed it.
Contact form submissions are stored as records in Sanity, the content management system behind this site, where the Eden team reads and replies to them. They are not sent to an advertising platform, a data broker, or any other third party.
How long we keep it
Enquiries are kept while we are in touch with you about them and for twenty-four months after we last hear from you, then deleted. If you would like yours removed sooner, ask us and we will delete it.
Your rights
You can ask what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Write to contact-us@edentechinc.com and we will respond, whether or not a particular law obliges us to.
Children
This site is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update the date at the top of this page.
